Then We EatShare
Just look at that cheese pull!
Today, we’re building the ultimate crowd-pleaser: Pull-Apart Pizza Sliders.
With a garlic butter crust, a mountain of layered meats, and enough melted mozzarella to make an Italian grandmother proud, this is the only party snack recipe you'll ever need.
Ingredients
- 1 pack of slider buns
- Pizza sauce
- A brick of mozzarella cheese (grated fresh for the best melt!)
- 1/4 Cup Pepperoni (diced)
- 1/4 Cup Leftover ham (diced)
- 2 Bacon strips (chopped)
- 1/4 Cup Red bell pepper (diced)
- 1/4 Cup Yellow onion (finely diced)
Garlic Butter Topping
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp fresh chopped parsley
- A dusting of parmesan cheese.
Instructions
- Prep the Vegetables and Meat: Finely dice the yellow onion, red bell pepper, ham, and pepperoni into very small, uniform pieces. Thinly slice the two strips of bacon.
- Cook the Filling: Place the bacon bits into a cold pan and turn the heat to medium. Once the bacon is almost completely cooked, add the diced onion, red pepper, ham, and pepperoni to the pan. Cook everything together for a couple of minutes to soften the vegetables, and mix all the flavors together. Turn off the heat and set the filling aside.
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, melt the tablespoon of butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Stir in the minced garlic and chopped fresh parsley. Set aside.
- Prep the Buns: Keep the slider rolls connected. Using a large serrated knife, carefully slice the entire sheet of rolls in half horizontally to separate the tops from the bottoms.
- Build the Sliders (Bottom Half): Place the bottom half of the rolls on a baking sheet. Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce over the bread. Add a thin layer of freshly grated mozzarella cheese (this acts as "glue" for the toppings).
- Add the Toppings: Evenly spread your cooked meat and vegetable filling over the cheese layer. Top the filling with a second, heavy layer of mozzarella cheese.
- First Bake (Open-Faced): Place the bottom half of the sliders (without the top buns) into the 425°F oven for a couple of minutes until the cheese is beautifully melted. (Pro-Tip: Doing this open-faced ensures the cheese melts perfectly without burning the top buns!)
- Finish Building: Remove from the oven. Spread a layer of pizza sauce on the underside of the top buns, and place them on top of the melted cheese to close the sliders.
- Add the Garlic Butter Topping: Brush the garlic herb butter generously over the top of the rolls. Dust the tops with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
- Final Bake: Place the sliders back into the oven for just a couple more minutes until the tops are golden brown and the Parmesan is toasted.
- Serve: Carefully transfer to a plate or cutting board, pull them apart for an epic cheese pull, and enjoy!
